Community Art Therapy Studios
Bloom strives to increase access to art therapy services to support our collective mental health.
***Studio update!!! We now have two Community Art Therapy Studios at our Walker’s Point location. Our Saturday studio will now be on the first Saturday only from 10am - 1pm, and we’ve added a weekly evening studio every Thursday from 4pm - 6pm. The Thursday studio will be in our new suite across from the elevators in room 203. Keep an eye on our events page for scheduling updates.
Since the opening in 2012, Bloom has offered a community art therapy studio. Today we still host a community art studio on the first Saturday that is not on a holiday weekend from 10a-1p. This is facilitated by an art therapist (or two) and is always free to participants. The studio space is at our central location in Walker’s Point in the Tannery Building, suite 204. When you arrive, you will see a sign with a number to call or text in order to enter the building which is closed on Saturdays. No prior art therapy or art experience is expected or needed. Materials are provided but if you’d like to bring your own, or are working on an ongoing project, feel free to bring those items with you.
For the past decade, Bloom has offered a community art studio at Repairers of the Breach, a daytime shelter for people experiencing homelessness. Also a weekly art studio, Bloom reserves this space for visitors of the shelter.
We are grateful to our partners at The Art Therapy House for their collaboration and support with these studios.
