About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated community leader to join our Board of Directors as a Finance/Fundraising Specialist. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in shaping the financial stability and fundraising initiatives of our organization. This role is essential to our continued growth and impact, and we are looking for a visionary leader with expertise in finance or fundraising to help drive our mission forward.
Bloom’s Board meets virtually on the first Wednesday of the month from 7-8 pm.

Requirements
Collaborate with the Board of Directors and Executive Director to develop and implement financial strategies and budgets to support the organization's mission and growth.
Provide oversight and guidance on financial matters, including financial reporting, auditing, and risk management.
Establish and maintain relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and philanthropic organizations to secure funding for the organization's programs and operations.
Work closely to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Participate in board meetings, contribute to strategic planning, and offer expertise on financial and fundraising matters.
We ask that each Board Director include Bloom as one of their charitable donations in a given year. There is no expectation of a specific donation amount or quota. However, Bloom strives to have a 100% giving Board and encourages each director to make a significant financial contribution based on their capacity.
