Participants will engage in a gong meditation, followed by artmaking in the studio to deepen their experience.

Time & Location
Oct 21, 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Milwaukee, 700 W Virginia St, Milwaukee, WI 53204, USA
About the event
Gong Meditation is a way to connect the mind and the body for novice and experienced meditators. Participants lay on yoga mats while bathed with the sound and vibration of the gong. The gong can be relaxing or activating, depending on your energetic needs. Gong meditation is beneficial for those coping with stresses of all kinds.
The meditation will be held in the conference room on the lower level of the Tannery building. Participants will then move to the Bloom studio on the second floor to make art of their choosing.
Various art materials will be provided, including paper, paint, pencils, markers, collage materials etc. Participants can bring a special material to use if preferred. An art therapist will be available to support the art making process if needed.
No previous meditation or art making experience required.
Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a yoga mat, with pillows and blankets geared toward your coziness.
This workshop is led collaboratively by Royal Road Clinic and Dr. Emily Nolan.
